Back to the Future

Anachronism (noun): an error in chronology; a person or thing that’s chronologically out of place. Write a story in which a person or thing is out of place, or recount a time when you felt out of place.

Well that definition sums me up. 😉 If there ever was someone born in the wrong generation, it’s probably me.

I prefer the clothes of the 50s, 60s, and 70s, as well as the music. It was just better back then. I prefer the classy and dapper style of the way men dressed back then. (A love for suits which thank god I have passed on to my oldest son).

The music of today drives me insane for the most part. If you look at my playlists on my phone it’s music from an era gone by. When the lyrics had meaning and there was no such thing as autotune. The movies were better too. For the most part if you give me an old black and white movie and a glass of wine, I’m good for the evening.

They say that everything old is new again at some point. So I guess now I just wait for manners, classy dress, meaningful music, and good scripts to come back into style.
