It’s been a few days since my last post so I thought that I would update everyone on what has been going on with the book. I’m currently working on my book Redemption (working title) and have reached the editing stage. Chapter one edits are underway and first pass edits are almost complete. It’s been a journey for sure. Characters are developing nicely and the storyline has had some twists and turns, but all in all, everything is on track at this stage.
UPDATE: I will be taking this down the romance road, just not quite sure how erotic the scenes will be.
When I first started this book I had everything intention of going down the erotica road with it. Shortly after, I changed my mind and decided that I wanted to do a mainstream novel. I marinated on that for a few days and experimented with that idea. It didn’t take long to realize that well, I just have more fun writing erotica and that’s where the story wanted to be. So… that’s where it’s going. The premise of the book falls into the taboo category. An abusive father, a step-mother, and a college age son who has had it with his fathers actions and is hellbent on protecting his step-mother. One thing leads to another and… well, you will just have to wait and see.
One thing that I am contemplating with this novel – since it is going to be part of a series – is establishing a better presence on Patreon or a similar site and having a subscription based approach for those that want to join the journey and be a part of this project from start to finish. An alternate option would be to set up an ARC team.
If I end up setting this up I will do another blog post that has all the details and where you can go to subscribe. Think of it as a Netflix for smut. There would be different tiers of support with different rewards for supporters.
My goal is to have the first book in the series completed and ready to publish by the end of 2018. There is a lot to do outside of the editing. Things like cover design, promotion, all that good stuff.
I better get back to it. More updates later.
