Grandma was a loving and devoted wife of sixty-one years, a mother, sister, grandmother, great-grandmother, aunt and friend. She loved to sit at the kitchen table in the morning with her cup of black coffee, her crossword puzzle and that erasable ink pen (just in case) and her cigarettes. She loved to watch her soaps at lunch time while she balanced her checkbook, or chatted with Papa about friends and family, the news, or something as simple as the bird sitting on the cactus outside the window. Stop trying to be what others want you to be. Be who makes you happy and do what makes you happy. If people fault you for that then they aren’t worthy of you anyway. So for the last week my youngest has been at his grandma’s house visiting. My oldest has been working a lot and hubs is on a different schedule. Sooo…… that has left me with a TON of free time. I’m not sure if I am ready for this stage. I’m used to having kids around playing with their friends. Music going, games going, running them around. I’m not gonna lie, I’m gonna miss it once it’s gone. Soon CJ will be headed into the military and Tony will be headed to high school. My boys are growing up into amazing young men. I am soRead More →
