Khalil Gibran once said that people will never understand one another unless language is reduced to seven words. What would your seven words be? Coffee – It is the nectar of the gods Internet – I need it to function Kids – They have blessed my life and I wouldn’t be who I am without them. Their silly antics make me smile on those bad days. Husband – He puts up with my crazy and I with his. (He’s in Law Enforcement, so he doesn’t like me to put his picture on the net, which I totally get) Misophonia – It is and always willRead More →

A plot of earth You’re given a plot of land and have the financial resources to do what you please. What’s the plan? If I was given a plot of land and had the financial resources to do what I pleased I would have to open a rescue. There are so many of them out there, but so many of them have dogs that just aren’t finding homes. Some are old and ailing, some aren’t adopted because “they are the wrong color”, and so many more excuses that people have when it comes to dogs. A rescue is also something that the husband is onRead More →

So I know that I’m missing some days in my journey to blog every single day of the year. My bad. I haven’t claimed sick husband yet, so I’m gonna cash that in now. 😉 My favorite blogging software is also acting wonky and I’m no sure if it’s even being supported which is kind of sad. Things were good up until about a week ago and I’ve been with them since the beginning. Only time will tell. I’ll hopefully be back at it sooner than later. I promise that I’ll at least get everything transferred over to the new app I’m using this weekend.Read More →

The closest you’ve ever come to fame was… Back when my oldest son was young I spent some time in Texas checking out opportunities and seeing if possibly we could make a better life down there. There’s a truck stop cafe in Ft. Stockton right off the highway so I stopped there to rest and see if I could scrounge together enough for something small to eat. IRead More →

Some think I am boring. Some think I am bold by following my dreams. Some think I am downright nuts for doing what I do (writing) and doing online school with my youngest. You know what I say to them? Mind your own damn business! No matter who you talk to, no matter what their opinion of me and my family, it will differ from the next person who has an opinion. There’s an old saying, “Those who matter don’t mind, and those who mind don’t matter”. That is how I feel about someone who thinks I am far from normal. My family according to most is a typical all-American family with 3.5Read More →

I was doing so good! Ugh. Didn’t intentionally skip the 6th blog post or the one for today, but circumstances out of my control happened. I apparently slept wrong and have tweaked something in my neck which now will not move to either side. 🙁 May not be back to daily till the end of the week but the second part of my proposal post is on its way. I promise. I hope that this update finds everyone in good health and if not, please get better soon. #StaySaucy, SayreRead More →
