We have been battling the Florence Unified School District for years in regards to a special education plan for my youngest son. He started struggling in school and so we decided to put him at Arizona Connections Academy.
It was quite possibly the best decision we could’ve made for him.
Even with the diagnosis from a specialist pediatrician, the public school system drug their feet.
We finally got a copy of the diagnosis letter for my son and I emailed it to the Special Education Coordinator last night around 8:30 PM. This morning when I took my son for state testing he was met at the door by the Special Education chair for the testing site and will now be able to test without the normal anxiety that he has in a larger testing setting.
I am super grateful for all they have done for him in the short time that we have been with the school.
