When we are little people tend to ask us, “What do you want to be when you grow up?” My question is, why do people stop asking that? At what point in our getting older do people decide that we are took old to have fantasies about what we want to be when we grow up? Why do we have to grow up at all?
I personally dont think that I should have to grow up. Its when we grow up that we get boring, stuffy and uninteresting. I prefer to keep buying coloring books, singing in the rain, making mud pies (although now they tend to be chocolate cream rather than mud) and singing at the top of my lungs even if I dont know the lyrics.
Now I have recently turned 35 or as my children like to say 29 for the 6th time. Bless them. While my fantasy has changed over the years I still have one. What I want to be when I grow up is just who I am now.
