Singing in the Rain

Monsoon season is upon us and I can’t wait for it to hit Florence. I have lived in Arizona all my life and never get tired of the rainy season here. It’s just enough to get my “gloomy weather” fix and then move on. Most of the time during the summer it’s horribly hot and dry. When monsoon season hits, it gets humid and while it doesn’t cool off much, it does kick the temperature down a few notches.

The sound of rain hitting the windows and even the wind blowing outside has a weird calming effect on me. Those are some of the sounds that don’t drive me insane. I don’t know if it’s the white noise aspect or what, but it could rain every day of the year here and I’d be one happy camper.

There is nothing better on a rainy day than curling up on the couch with a hot cup of coffee and a good book. Snuggled into the very soft and fuzzy blanket that my parents got my husband and I for Christmas last year. Well okay, I might have jumped the gun on the “nothing better” thing, because if I’m able to chill on the couch while comfy and write that IS better.

What do you like to do on a rainy day? Do you enjoy the rainy season here you live or do you hate it? I would love to hear your stories.

As always,

#Stay Saucy,
