As the end of day three comes around I have finally found my zone. I have had company this week. My mom and I had a blast just hanging out. Thursday we took my youngest to his schools fall festival and then she had to go home. I wish she could stay forever. Better yet, I wish she could move into the house that’s for sale down the street. Today my husband and I “adulted” and I was able to get some writing done in the car while driving around town.
One of the best parts of the fall festival was seeing my 14-year-old riding a pedal car.
On this day I realized just how grown up my “baby” is. I watched him pass by the playthings he used to love. I watched him carry on conversations with meaning about his passions. I watched him as he ventured into the world of teenager, and actually saw him as such.
I also experienced a first.
Nothing like having your teeth floating and having to do the potty dance while you waited in line for a token.
Day 1 – I wrote 673 words.
Day 2 – I didn’t write.
Day 3 – I was in the zone.
Thursday evening I got to spend some quality time with my husband at dinner. Little moments like that allow me to fall in love with him all over again. This month will be 14 years married and 15 years together.
After dinner I got to curl up with my fur baby and husband, watch tv, and get some rest.
