As The Seasons Turn

The weather is turning and it finally feels like fall – at least in the mornings around here. It’s time for pumpkin spice everything, sweatpants, hoodies, and fleece lined leggings. That’s what I keep telling myself anyway. If the weather will cooperate for more than a few hours that would be nice.

I live in Arizona. The majority of the year you can drive anywhere in the state and have different temperatures. You go up north and you have Flagstaff where you can see the seasons change and play in the snow. If you are in the “valley” you are pretty much stuck with hot most of the year and then it’s supposed to turn quickly and be cooler and sometimes downright cold. I’m a bit father south towards Tucson, Arizona in Florence. Where for the last few years the weather has been amazing. This year, not so much.

It’s November 5th and it should be cold. Not cooler, not cold in the morning and hot in the afternoon, but cold. It’s not. It’s the same shit that has been going on for months. Tolerable in the morning and then straight up boob sweat hot in the afternoon. A good example of the weather is what I wore yesterday while running errands with my husband. We got an early start and I was chilly. Left the house in sweatpants, a t-shirt, and a hoodie. By the time we had visited two stores which took less than an hour I was burning up. Off came the hoodie, and I was seriously regretting the sweat pants decision.

Today it’s just plain hot. We turn our air off in the evenings and open the windows. This morning I got up and it was 80 degrees in the house. 80 degrees in November! It should have been in the 60’s. What the hell Mother Nature?! I have fleece lined leggings that I need to be wearing right about now. If I wanted to sweat the “baby weight” off I would go to a sauna, not put my winter pants on.

Okay, end of rant. I just had to put it out there and complain a little bit. What is the weather like where you are? Is it season appropriate, hotter than normal, or colder than normal?
