CHRISTMAS CLEAN UP

While I was cleaning up my digital files and getting ready for a fresh start in 2021, I came across this gem. I felt compelled to share it with the world.

The festivities are over, and company has gone.

My kiddos are enjoying their gifts; but who knows for how long.

Christmas movies are watched and the carols are sung.

My kitchen looks like it was hit by a bomb.

Sit down and relax, is that what you said?

You must still have eggnog filling your quaint little head.

Tomorrow’s the in-laws so I’m not really done.

I forgot one of the presents so to the store I must run.

Be there at two is more like we are eating at five.

I will make it through the evening; but there will be wine.

Christmas is special and Christmas is fun,

But my Lord is it tiring and I’ll be glad when its done.
