CO’S ARE NOT GUARDS
Anyone that knows me personally or from social media knows that I abhor the term “prison guard”. It’s disrespectful and needs to be done away with.
Yes, I know in the past, Officers were called guards. That needs to change.
Corrections are a part of Law Enforcement.
Without these Officers, the public would be less safe.
If this pisses you off as much as it does me, please let the local news stations know. Let them know that you and/or your loved ones are NOT guards. You and your loved ones are Officers and deserve to be called Officer.

If you would like them to give Correctional Officers the respect they deserve by referring them to Officers and not guards, please write the station or use social media.
