NON SEQUITUR

This is the beginning of something — what I’m not quite sure.

“He tried to hit me with a forklift!” Brian couldn’t help but laugh at the scene that was playing out down on the ground next to his rig. The boss’s daughter was throwing one of her famous fits. He still couldn’t figure out who decided it was a good idea to have her on the job site. She didn’t belong here. Hell, she didn’t belong anywhere that involved workbooks and a hard hat. But, what are you going to do? The boss wanted her to learn the business, so he had someone to take it over when he retired. It just sucked that she was the only one being considered for the position since she was family. As far as he was concerned, the feral cat that roamed the worksite was more qualified than she was.
