TRADITIONAL BEAUTY BE DAMNED

A recent comment made me stop and think and it was……
“Shes too fat for that outfit.”

You know what I say to that? FUCK YOU! Thats what I say to that.

Who do people think my they are? Now granted Im not the most polite or nice person when I see an horrendous outfit BUT I do know when a line is too fragile to cross.

I have no filter and if your outfit looks horrible Ill tell you. But that is just what it is. A comment about your dreadful outfit. Not your size. None of us fit into the “traditional” standard of beauty. Why? Because there isn’t one.

Americas beauty is manufactured by the clothing industry. The same people who make low quality clothes that fall apart sooner than they should so we the sheep will purchase more of their product. The bottom line is all they care about and making females and males feel bad about themselves is the cost of doing business.

It needs to stop. It wont, but it needs to. We are killing our children. Figuratively and literally. Eating disorders are on the rise due to unrealistic, and for some, unattainable beauty standards and nothing is being done to help those who suffer.

It’s sad. I have been a size 8 and a size 23 over the years. I have and always will be beautiful. I did not change on the inside when I gained massive pregnancy weight twice, and I didnt change inside when I lost it.

Unfortunately for me it was too late by the time I figured that out as I have suffered from an eating disorder since a young age and still to this day have my issues with it.

Why am I airing this? Because I’m tired of hiding it. Tired of sweeping it under the rug. Tired of being what society thinks I should be. Hoping that this reaches someone and if they would like to vent, chat or just have someone out there that knows what they are going through, I am here.
